About the St. John's Nursing Alumni Association
St. John's Nursing Alumni Association members include graduates from the diploma school and the College Nursing programs. The Alumni publishes the Echo, a newsletter with information about Alumni, the College and the Hospital Sisters of St. Francis twice a year. Among its many activities, the Alumni sponsor several fundraising activities each year such as the Alumni Raffle, the Phonathon and benefits designed to raise funds for student scholarships, faculty development and projects that enhance or improve the student educational experience. The Alumni Board of Directors is elected every other year.

 Each year, the College joins with the Alumni Association to honor the 50 year, 25 year and 10 year graduates at the annual Alumni Banquet.

 Distinguished Alumni Award  
The Distinguished Alumni Award recognizes St. John’s Nursing alumnus whose career in nursing exemplifies excellence in leadership through clinical practice or education.

St. John’s Nursing Alumni Association would like to acknowledge Distinguished Alumni for their significant contributions to the school and the nursing community. The Alumni Association accepts nominations for the Distinguished Alumni Award through December each year.

Honor one of our graduates and colleagues by submitting the following:
  • An Alumni nominee who graduated from St. John’s School of Nursing/St. John’s College Department of Nursing.
  • A brief statement on why you think the nominee should be considered for the award.
  • A summary of the nominee’s accomplishments.
