St. John’s nurses, College faculty and students

to appear on PBS

St. John’s Hospital and College will be featured in a three-part television series, titled “Nursing Today” this month on PBS WSEC TV (Comcast channel 8).  The series will air Fridays, Oct. 7, Oct. 14 and Oct. 21 at 8:00 PM. Each program will be repeated the following Sunday at noon and 10:30 PM. The first program focuses on the education and training of nurses. Parts 2 and 3 concentrate on nursing as a career and the many opportunities open to nurses, the changes that have occurred in the profession due to technology and government, and where the profession is going.

The program airs on Comcast channel 8 on Thursday, Oct. 20, 7 p.m.; Sunday, Oct. 23, 4 p.m.; and Monday, Oct. 24, 6:30 p.m.
St. John’s College of Nursing’s 125th Year is being celebrated on WSEC-TV’s award-winning series Illinois Stories. The half-hour program features interviews of former students through the years.
