Foundations in Faith Community Nurisng
Franciscan Inspired Leadership
Housed in Spiritual Care since 2005, the Foundations in Faith Community Nursing Course educates nurses of all faiths to assume the role of Faith Community nurse and begin program development within their own congregation. Faith Community Nursing empowers nurses to establish ministries in their own congregations. Faith Community Nurses do not provide hands-on care, but they help members of their congregation associate their faith with good health and general well-being. An active RN license is required with a minimum of three years of professional experience.
The Foundations in Faith Community Nursing Course was offered on Thursday through Saturday starting on June 6 - 8 and June 13 - 15, 2013. Area nurses of all faiths are welcome to take the course. For more information about the next course call (217) 544-6464 ext. 45162 or send an email to ContinuingEd@StJohnsCollegeSpringfield.edu.
