    St. John's College founded by the Hospital Sisters of St. Francis, offers innovative programs to prepare individuals for patient care, with individual attention for students and an enviable array of clinical experiences ranging from birth and wellness to care of the dying.  The College has continued its proud legacy of excellence for over 125 years.

    St. John's College is located on the campus of St. John's Hospital, in Springfield,Illinois.

    St. John' College has its roots in the healing and caring mission of the Hospital Sisters of St. Francis. Today, the College offers an upper division Baccalaureate Nursing Degree Program and Continuing Education Programs to serve nurses and allied health professionals in Central and Southern Illinois. St. Johns College is transforming itself from a traditional educational institution to one that offers innovative and leading edge programs designed to prepare the learner to care for individuals throughout life in an integrated healthcare system. Its proud history of excellence stems back to its days as one of the first Catholic Nursing Programs in the United States.

    The College is approved by the Illinois Board of HIgher Education and the Illinois Department of Professional Regualtion to grant the baccalaureate degree in nursing. It is also approved by the State Agency for Veteran's Benefits and the Montgomery G.I. Bill.

    St. John's College is accredited to grant the baccalaureate degree in nursing by The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The nursing program is accredited with the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC).
